GI Dynamics launches weight loss device trial - Boston Business Journal: The device has been studied in 12 trials outside the U.S. and one in the U.S., with a total of more than 500 patients. The company says previous trials have shown that the device can rapidly reduce blood sugar levels and help patients achieve a weight loss of approximately 20 percent in 12 months.
